Get ready for some retail therapy, because Phyllis Tuckwell’s Camberley shop is moving to a larger premises, packed with fantastic, preloved items – including furniture!
At 10am on Friday 14th August, the doors of Phyllis Tuckwell’s Camberley High Street shop will open. Located in the heart of the town centre, it’s much bigger than the charity's previous Camberley premises, so there’s space for preloved furniture, pictures and soft furnishings, alongside the wide range of clothes, shoes, accessories, books, CDs, DVDs and homeware that Phyllis Tuckwell sells.
“We’re thrilled to be moving our Camberley shop to this fantastic, large location right in the centre of the town,” said Barry Young, head of retail at Phyllis Tuckwell. “It will stock a great range of high quality, preloved items which have been donated by our generous supporters, so do come along and have a browse, and if you have any items you would like to donate, please do bring them along too!”
The Camberley shop needs volunteers to help sort, price and sell its preloved stock. If you have a few hours to spare and would like a role where you can meet new people, use old skills and learn new ones, and help support an important local charity, they would love to hear from you. Phyllis Tuckwell’s shops raise a huge amount of money to help fund the specialist end of life care that this vital local charity provides for patients and families living with an advanced or terminal illness. It helps manage symptoms, ease pain, support emotional and practical needs, and make care easier to understand for its patients and their loved ones. Its Camberley shop will be open from 9.30am to 4.30pm Mondays to Saturdays, and is one of 19 shops that the charity has across its catchment area.
