Phyllis Tuckwell and SC Johnson are celebrating a partnership which has spanned over 25 years, during which SC Johnson has supported Phyllis Tuckwell to provide its expert, compassionate palliative and end of life care to patients and families across West Surrey and North East Hampshire.

Since 2001, SC Johnson has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the local community through significant financial support, employee volunteering and ongoing engagement with Phyllis Tuckwell’s work. Its donations have funded a wide range of equipment and services, including IT equipment for nurses, syringe drivers for medication administration, a ceiling hoist and track system for one of the therapy rooms, and adaptations to the In-Patient Unit during the pandemic to convert a large, shared room into two single inpatient rooms.
More recently, SC Johnson has made significant contributions towards Phyllis Tuckwell’s New Hospice Appeal, helping to fund the SC Johnson Family Room within the Hospice. With a small kitchen area, an en-suite, sofas, a TV, games, and doors which open out onto a private courtyard garden area, this room offers families a calm, relaxed, private space away from the clinical environment, where they can take some time out to rest and reflect when visiting their loved ones on the In-Patient Unit. It also offers children and young people a safe space to relax, play or process their emotions during an exceptionally difficult time.
SC Johnson has maintained a close connection with Phyllis Tuckwell's work, marking key milestones in the development of the new Hospice and regularly engaging with the charity to understand the impact their support has on local patients, carers and families. The relationship extends beyond financial support. Through annual corporate volunteering initiatives, SC Johnson employees regularly give their time to help Phyllis Tuckwell. Most recently, last month 25 staff members volunteered at Phyllis Tuckwell's Invincible Road Donation Centre, helping to sort stock destined for the charity's network of shops, as part of SC Johnson’s wider Community Day activities.
Today, Phyllis Tuckwell supports more than 2,200 patients and over 1,200 carers each year. Demand for hospice and palliative care services continues to grow, and the charity aims to increase its reach to support 3,000 people annually by 2040.

Your new Hospice has been designed to meet increasing future demand and provide modern, high-quality care for generations to come. As the local population grows and demand for palliative care rises, support from long-standing partners such as SC Johnson will remain vital in ensuring that patients and families receive the care, comfort and dignity they need when every day is precious.
All our services are free, but this is only possible due to the generosity of our amazing community. The Government/NHS only provide 25% of our costs, so we need to raise over £30,000 every day to provide our vital services.
