Can you give a gift or two for hospice care? Local charity Phyllis Tuckwell needs quality items for its raffles and auctions this Christmas and into 2027. These are held at its various events throughout the year, and raise a huge amount of money to help fund its vital palliative and end of life care.
Could you donate a prize? Boxes of chocolates and bottles of wine, spirits or bubbly are always popular on their own or as part of a hamper. Boxed toiletries are another great prize, as are gift vouchers for beauty treatments, massages, haircuts, meals out or afternoon tea. Tickets to a theatre or sporting event would be brilliant, as would signed memorabilia from a well-known personality or club, a tour of a vineyard, distillery or sports club, and if anyone who has a holiday home could offer a weekend stay, that would be fantastic!
“We hold lots of events throughout the year to raise money to help fund our care, and many of them include a raffle or auction,” said Fiona Chapman, event fundraiser at Phyllis Tuckwell. “They’re so popular, people love to take part in them, and it would be great if we had some really good prizes to be able to offer. If you can help, please do get in touch. Thank you!”
Items may be used in raffles and auctions throughout 2027, so if they have an expiry date, please do bear in mind that they may not be for immediate use.
