Last year, just over 800 vehicles were brought along by their owners to be exhibited. Ranging from pre-war to post-2000 vehicles, they included cars, motorbikes, Army vehicles, camper vans and even bubble cars. Over 300 vehicles have already been registered for this year’s show, from veteran, vintage and pre-war vehicles through to motorcycles, tractors and post-2000 supercars! They will be on display alongside an incredible private collection of over 60 pristine classic cars from 1903 to the present day, over 100 petrol pumps and thousands of pieces of memorabilia, all belonging to the venue owners, Robert and Tanya Lewis. Music, refreshments and food vendors will add to the day, making it a wonderful event for families and friends to attend.
All of the money raised by the Motor Show will go towards helping fund the palliative and end of life care that Phyllis Tuckwell provides for local patients and families who are living with an advanced or terminal illness, such as cancer. Every day it supports over 250 patients, relatives and carers, offering medical and nursing care, therapies, counselling, social work advice and practical support. However, as the NHS/Government only cover 25% of its costs, it has to raise over £25,000 every single day to do this and relies heavily on the support and generosity of the local community.
“We are thrilled to be invited back to this amazing venue in Churt for the Motor Show and would like to thank Robert and Tanya Lewis for once again hosting it,” said Ruth Masters, fundraising manager at Phyllis Tuckwell. “Please note that there is limited availability on site, and this event sells out, so make sure you register your vehicle in advance, or purchase your attendee tickets soon.”
Exhibitor registration fees are priced at £15 for motorcycles and scooters, and £25 for cars and campervans. Attendee tickets are £20 for motorcycles and scooters, and £30 for other vehicles. The prices include entrance for the vehicle, driver and passengers to the show and private museum.
