Phyllis Tuckwell would like to say a huge good luck to its amazing London Marathon runners, who will be taking on this epic challenge on Sunday 27th April. 20 runners will be running this iconic marathon in aid of the local Hospice Care charity, which provides palliative and end of life care for patients and families who are living with an advanced or terminal illness, in West Surrey and North-East Hampshire.

Among those running is Lyn, the motor neurone clinical specialist at Phyllis Tuckwell. “I’m really proud to be running the London Marathon in aid of such an important local cause,” she said. “At Phyllis Tuckwell, we support over 250 local patients, relatives and carers every day, but as the NHS/Government only cover 25% of our costs, we have to raise over £25,000 every day – and fundraising events such as this are really important in helping us do this.”
“Thank you so much to all of our London Marathon runners,” said Fiona Chapman, events fundraiser at Phyllis Tuckwell. “‘We really appreciate the months of training and fundraising that you have undertaken and hope you have a great experience throughout the marathon. Your support is so important in helping us provide our care and we wish you the best of luck.”
