Local Hospice Care charity Phyllis Tuckwell would like to say a huge thank you to its wonderful team of volunteers, who give their time and talents so generously to help it provide its care.
Phyllis Tuckwell’s volunteers support patients at its Living Well sessions.
Phyllis Tuckwell’s volunteers help in almost every team in the organisation. Some drive patients to and from appointments at the Beacon Centre in Guildford, while others visit patients at home to provide companionship and practical support. Volunteers assist patients at our various counselling, therapy and Living Well sessions, as well as supporting staff on our In-Patient Unit in Camberley. Other volunteers provide reception services at our Farnham office and the Beacon Centre, and administrative help across all three sites. In addition, our fundraising and retail volunteers help us to raise valuable income from events and in our shops, where they help to create a wonderfully friendly and welcoming community feel.
“We’d like to say a huge thank you to our amazing volunteers, who help us and our patients in so many ways!” said Julia Morpeth, voluntary services manager at Phyllis Tuckwell. “Your support is so very much appreciated - we simply wouldn’t be able to offer all of our care without you.”
