If you would like a thank you letter from us, please include a covering letter with your name and address, and the name of the person you are remembering. If you choose to donate by cheque, please make it payable to Phyllis Tuckwell.

Set up an Online Tribute Fund

When planning a funeral or memorial service, some people choose to ask for donations instead of flowers in memory of their loved one.

You could set up an online Tribute Fund - this is a personalised webpage where individuals can make their donation in memory of a loved one and remember them by posting messages, photos and memories. The date and time of a funeral can be added to your tribute page, so friends and family who are unable to attend can light a candle, pray or have a moment of reflection during the funeral.

Funeral collections

When planning a funeral or memorial service, some people choose to ask for donations instead of flowers in memory of their loved one.

Could you ask your friends and family to donate directly to Phyllis Tuckwell in memory of your loved one? You can donate online, by phone or by post. When we receive these funeral collection donations, we write to the family or next of kin to thank them for thinking of us.

Memory Tree

Our beautiful Memory Tree sculpture stands in a quiet area of the Beacon Centre garden in Guildford.

Along its branches hang delicate copper leaves. Each copper leaf is engraved and dedicated to the memory of someone special. For a donation of £100 or more, you can choose to personalise your own leaf with the name of a loved one.

Your leaf will be displayed on the Tree for twelve months, after which you will be given the option to keep it on the tree for another twelve months, or have it sent back to you.

 

Light up a Life

Every year, just before Christmas, we hold our Light up a Life service, to remember those who have died and celebrate their lives.

This poignant service takes place in the Guildford Cathedral grounds, where friends, relatives and staff congregate around a large Christmas tree, whose lights represent the lives of those who have died.

Sponsor a Nurse

Every hour of every day, 365 days a year, one of our nurses is looking after someone who might be facing the last few weeks, days or even hours of their life.

Gifts in Wills

Leaving a gift in your Will to Phyllis Tuckwell means that you can make a real difference to local people living with an advanced or terminal illness, such as cancer.
