Phyllis Tuckwell is expanding its supportive and dynamic nursing team! It will be holding an open day on Wednesday 10th September, from 3pm-6.30pm, at the Beacon Centre in Guildford, for nurses and health care assistants to find out more.

The local Hospice Care charity provides palliative and end of life care for adult patients and families living with an advanced or terminal illness, in West Surrey and North-East Hampshire.
Staff will care for patients in its brand-new Hospice in Farnham, which opens next spring, as well as at the Beacon Centre in Guildford, and in patients’ own homes and care homes across West Surrey and North-East Hampshire. It’s a fast-paced and exciting place to work, where you can really put your skills into practice. Whether you’ve got years of experience or have just qualified, Phyllis Tuckwell will teach you the specialist skills you’ll need to provide expert Hospice Care, enabling you to make a real difference to people’s lives.
“We offer excellent career development opportunities, supportive preceptorship and clinical supervision,” said Catherine van’t Riet, director of patient services at Phyllis Tuckwell. “We’re a compassionate and caring organisation, and are proud of our inclusive ethos, where everyone is valued and respected as an individual. We’d love to welcome you to the team, so please do come along to our open day to find out more.”
Every day, Phyllis Tuckwell supports over 250 patients, relatives and carers, through medical and nursing care, therapies, counselling, social work advice and practical support. By joining its expert nursing team, you’ll be offered a competitive salary and benefits package (including continuation of NHS pension), and six weeks holiday plus bank holidays. Flexible shift patterns, full-time, part-time and bank roles are available, and there are excellent opportunities for professional development, including palliative care training, preceptorship, and pathways for nurses and health care assistants to advance your careers within Phyllis Tuckwell. You’ll have a voice in improving its services and best practice, help shape its culture, and be an integral part of the specialist team that provides its exceptional care.
