Fancy a brew? Phyllis Tuckwell’s new fundraiser invites you to put the kettle on, make or buy a cake or two, and invite your family, friends or neighbours over for a Bake and Brew.
This new fundraising campaign will run throughout October and raise much needed money to help this local charity continue providing its vital palliative and end of life care to those in our community who are living with an advanced or terminal illness, such as cancer. Simply pick a date in October, morning or afternoon, whatever works for you, and contact Phyllis Tuckwell to register for your free Bake & Brew fundraising pack, which will include information about hosting your event, bunting, cake toppers and a fact sheet about Phyllis Tuckwell, so you can let those coming know how their donations will help. You can hold your event at home with family, friends or neighbours, or at work with your colleagues. All you need is a kettle, mugs of tea or coffee, delicious cake and great company!
“We're really excited to launch our new Bake & Brew campaign, and we really hope you enjoy getting together with those close to you for a cuppa and a slice of cake, to help fund our Hospice Care,” said Emily Reynolds, community fundraiser at Phyllis Tuckwell. “Every chat, every cake slice and every mug truly matters. With every donation, you’re enabling us to provide our vital care now and into the future.”
The Smith family recently held their own fundraiser at home. “It brought together a wonderful community of friends and family in a joyful and supportive atmosphere,” they said. “The event was particularly special as it was held in memory of Mick, whose positive spirit and appreciation for the care he received from Phyllis Tuckwell inspired us all.”
