At our Invincible Road Donation Centre.

For many people, our shops will be the first contact they have with Phyllis Tuckwell, so you really are the warm and welcoming face of our charity! You'll be supporting the staff in our Donation Centre, which accepts, sorts and distributes donated stock across our 18 shops and warehouses - it's a busy role which requires stamina! As well as receiving donated items, including furniture, from the public and promoting our Gift Aid scheme, you'll prepare donated stock and place furniture out on display for sale. You'll also take telephone bookings for furniture deliveries and collections, and serve customers at the till.

Applicants must be age 14 or over if participating in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme, otherwise they must be age 16 or over. 

You will be required to undertake mandatory in-store training alongside a staff member.

You'll also serve customers at the till and assist with any enquiries made over the phone.

Flexible shifts between 9am and 5pm on various days.

At and between our Donation Centres in Farnham and Farnborough and our 18 shops across West Surrey and North East Hampshire.

Our shops stock a range of donated items, and some specialise in furniture, antiques or other specific ranges of goods. As items can be donated at any of our shops, and our Donation Centres also accept furniture donations, our van drivers are a vital link between all of our retail sites. You will need good driving skills and fitness is a must, as you'll be loading and transporting stock in this very physical role!

Applicants must be age 21 or over.

You will be asked to complete our Moving and Handling training. You will also need to complete a minimum of two shifts shadowing an experienced volunteer.
