£300
A donation of £300 for a single Will could pay for nearly two days’ care from one of our physiotherapists, who support patients to manage their symptoms and live as independently as possible.
Some of our local solicitors and Will writers have kindly offered to write a standard Will, or update an existing one, in return for a donation to Phyllis Tuckwell.
Writing a Will and keeping it up to date are so important, but many of us never get round to doing it.
Writing a Will ensures that:

We suggest a donation of £300 for a single Will and £400 for mirror Wills.
There is no obligation to include a gift to Phyllis Tuckwell in your Will. However, if you would like to know more about leaving a gift in your Will, please visit our Gifts in Wills page or ask your chosen solicitor or Will writer for more information.

A donation of £400 for mirror Wills could pay for two days’ specialist nursing care from one of our In-Patient Unit nurses, who each care for up to five patients.

Not sure where to start when it comes to making a Will? Listen to Phyllis Tuckwell's legacy officer Hannah Robins discuss the ins-and-outs of Wills with local solicitor Victoria Evans from Downs Solicitors and Notaries.
Having an up-to-date Will enables you to make sure that, in the event of your death, your money will go to the people and causes that you want it to. Without a Will, your estate could end up belonging to the Crown or Government. Having a Will protects the rights of your partner, if you are not married or in a civil partnership, and helps your family and friends take care of your estate, knowing that they are acting on your wishes.
We would always recommend you consult a solicitor or legal advisor when making or amending your Will. This is to prevent any future complications and expense for your loved ones.
You can choose any solicitor you like to write your Will, but by choosing a solicitor taking part in the Make a Will campaign, from the list below, we receive a donation.
No worries at all. We have teamed up with online Will writing experts, Octopus Legacy, to offer you the option to write your Will online, for free. Visit Octopus Legacy to find out more.
