Party for Phyllis this Christmas

Party for Phyllis this Christmas

Local Hospice Care charity Phyllis Tuckwell has opened ticket sales for its Burlesque Christmas parties on Friday 30th November and Saturday 1st December, which this year will be held at an exciting new venue! Hosted once again by Best Parties Ever, these festive celebrations will take place in a grand marquee on Queens Avenue in Farnborough. Warm and sturdy, these marquees are like buildings in their own right, and are guaranteed to keep the coldest winter nights warm and dry! So whether you’ve been tasked with organising the work Christmas party or are planning a yuletide family or friends get-together, celebrate the festive season with Phyllis Tuckwell and experience an amazing night out!

Welcome to the vivid and intoxicating world of Parisian burlesque. Set in the decadent world of 1890’s Paris, these parties are inspired by the legendary institutions of the Folies Bergere and Parisian nightclubs. Let loose your inhibitions as our entertainers welcome you to a Montmartre street scene at dusk, complete with impressive trapeze artists, mesmerising aerial hoop acts, Can-Can dancers and the very best of burlesque.

Relax with a drink, enjoy a fabulous three-course dinner, take a spin on the indoor dodgems, try your hand at the charity casino – which includes Roulette and Blackjack – and dance the night away at the state-of-the-art disco! A professional photographer will be there to take your photo, and the evening also includes free car parking and cloakroom, a raffle and auctions with fantastic prizes, Christmas crackers and a survivors’ breakfast.

Fundraising events such as these Christmas parties are incredibly important to Phyllis Tuckwell, which provides supportive and end of life care for adult patients and families who are living with an advanced or terminal illness, such as cancer, in West Surrey and North East Hampshire. Every day Phyllis Tuckwell supports over 250 patients, relatives and carers – through medical and nursing care, therapies, counselling, social work advice and practical support, but as the NHS/Government only covers 20% of its costs, it has to raise over £20,000 a day to do this, and therefore relies heavily on fundraising events such as this.

Tickets are on sale now, priced £40 each (tables of 10, over 18s only). Book yours at shop.pth.org.uk or by calling 01252 729446 or emailing fundraising@pth.org.uk.
