Party for Phyllis this Christmas

It may still be summer, but you can’t plan too far ahead when it comes to sell-out Christmas parties! Local Hospice Care charity Phyllis Tuckwell has opened ticket sales for its Dream Circus Christmas party, which will be held on Saturday 7th December at the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre – so buy your tickets now and look forward an amazing night out!

Themed around a magical, surreal and beautiful world, the party will include a stylish and courageous show by a troupe of world class artistes, including a performance from their gravity-defying aerial acrobats! After a fabulous three-course dinner, you can have a go on the bumper cars, try your luck at the charity casino and dance the night away at the disco! A professional photographer will be there to take your photo, and the evening also includes free car parking and cloakroom, a raffle and auctions with fantastic prizes, Christmas crackers and a survivors’ breakfast.

Fundraising events like this are incredibly important to Phyllis Tuckwell, which provides supportive and end of life care for adult patients and families who are living with an advanced or terminal illness, such as cancer, in West Surrey and North East Hampshire. Every day Phyllis Tuckwell supports over 250 patients, relatives and carers – through medical and nursing care, therapies, counselling, social work advice and practical support, but as the NHS/Government only covers 20% of its costs, it has to raise over £20,000 a day to do this. Last year’s Christmas parties raised enough money to cover the cost of the charity’s Living Well services for over a month. Supporting nearly 600 patients a year, the Living Well team cares for those who need help with every day activities, and offers therapies, advice and nursing care to help them cope with the symptoms of their illness and improve their quality of life.

The Dream Circus Christmas party is kindly supported by Best Parties Ever and sponsored by Michael Usher mortgage services. It will start at 7pm and end at 1am, and tickets are on sale now, priced £45 each (tables of 10, over 18s only). Book yours at or by calling 01252 729446 or emailing
