Don’t Miss Out On Zipline Fundraising Challenge
Suspended 100m off the ground on this forward-facing, superhero style zipline, you’ll cruise 724m at a cool 60mph – the closest thing you’ll get to actually flying!! The Zipline day will take place on Saturday 11th March, at Hangloose Adventure in Bluewater. You can sign up as an individual or as a team of four. Teams of four who sign up together will get a discounted rate, and can then go down the zipline together, making this a fantastic activity for a day out with friends. It costs £30 to sign up as an individual, or £100 for a team of four, and everyone who takes part is asked to raise a minimum sponsorship of £100 per person.
All of the money raised through registration fees and sponsorship will go directly towards helping fund the supportive and end of life care which Phyllis Tuckwell provides for patients and families living with an advanced or terminal illness, such as cancer, in West Surrey and North-East Hampshire. Annually, the NHS/Government usually only covers about 20% of its costs, which means it has to raise over £25,000 a day to be able to offer all of its services, which it gives free of charge to its patients and their families.
“Our new Zipline event promises to be a day out to remember!” said Fiona Chapman, Events Fundraiser at Phyllis Tuckwell. “Sign up now and be one of the first to experience this incredible feeling of flying, whilst knowing you’re raising money to help those in the local community who really need your support.”
