Directions to the Hospice

FROM GUILDFORD

Follow the A31 (Hog’s Back) from Guildford until you reach the Shepherd and Flock roundabout just before Farnham. Stay in the left lane so that you filter off at the roundabout towards signs for Farnham Station. Continue on the dual carriageway past a BP petrol station on your left until you reach a set of traffic lights. Turn left at these lights (signposted Farnham Station). As soon as you cross the train tracks on the road, take the left turn onto Waverley Lane. The Hospice is about half a mile down this road, on the right hand side, on the corner of Menin Way. The patients’ and visitors’ car park is accessible off Menin Way.

FROM GODALMING (AND THE A3)

Follow the B3001 Elstead Road signposted towards Farnham. This road becomes Waverley Lane, and you will find the Hospice on your left about a mile and a half after the bridge over the River Wey. The patients’ and visitors’ car park is accessible off Menin Way, a left turn by the Hospice.

FROM ALTON

Follow the A31 from Alton until you until you reach the Shepherd and Flock roundabout. Go all the way round the roundabout and back onto the A31 in the opposite direction, so you’re facing back towards Alton. You will reach a set of traffic lights with Farnham Station signposted as a left turn (a right turn at these lights from the Alton direction isn’t possible). Turn left at these lights (towards Farnham Station). As soon as you cross the train tracks on the road, take the left turn onto Waverley Lane. The Hospice is about half a mile down this road, on the right hand side, on the corner of Menin Way. The patients’ and visitors’ car park is accessible off Menin Way.

FROM THE M3

Exit the M3 at Junction 4 and follow the A331 (Black Water Valley Route) towards Farnham. At the end of the A331, cross the roundabout (signposted Farnham) and merge with the A31 (Hog’s Back). You will shortly reach the Shepherd and Flock roundabout just before Farnham. Stay in the left lane so that you filter off at the roundabout towards signs for Farnham Station. By rail

The Hospice is located about half a mile from Farnham Station. Exit the station and locate the train tracks crossing the road. Waverley Lane is a turning adjacent to the tracks. The Hospice is approximately half a mile down this road, on the right hand side.

Directions to The Beacon Centre

FROM LONDON

Take the A3 south towards Portsmouth. On the approach to Guildford, take the exit marked “Cathedral, University, Hospitals and Holiday Inn”. Take the 3rd exit from the roundabout and go straight over the next roundabout. Then over the traffic light junction and up Gill avenue. The Beacon Centre is to be found on the site of the Royal Surrey County Hospital and access to the car park is through the Staff Car Park which is well marked to the right.

FROM THE A3 SOUTH

Take the exit marked Holiday Inn. From the roundabout, take the first main exit [do not turn directly left as this will take you to the Hotel only, and go straight over the next roundabout and straight ahead over the traffic light junction and up Gill Avenue. The Beacon Centre is to be found on the site of the Royal Surrey County Hospital and access is through Staff Car park which is well marked to the right.

BY TRAIN

Waterloo to Guildford on the Portsmouth line. Taxi journey is 10 minutes from Guildford Station. Buses run approximately every 10 minutes to the Royal Surrey County Hospital.

PARKING FOR THE BEACON CENTRE:

Approach The Beacon Centre via the RSCH Staff car park (2nd right up Gill Avenue).

On entering the staff car park, turn left then right and approach the red barrier that you will see in front of you. Press the intercom to announce your arrival at the Beacon Centre’s barrier, where someone will raise the barrier for you to enter. When parked within The Beacon car park please report to the Receptionist at The Beacon Centre to announce your arrival.

OVERFLOW PARKING:

If The Beacon Centre car park is full, please use the Royal Surrey County Hospital public car park, which has their pay machines within the car park to pay for your parking.

SAT NAV:

Please be aware that if using a Sat Nav you should carry on past the children’s nursery on the left then turn immediately right into the Royal Surrey Visitors car park. Carry on around to the parking area behind the Beacon barrier.
