Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care provides supportive and end of life care for people living with an advanced or terminal illness. Phyllis Tuckwell is based in Farnham and Guildford and serves a population of 550,000 across West Surrey and NE Hampshire.

An opportunity has arisen for a Practice Development Nurse Practitioner working with our Phyllis Tuckwell Education and Clinical teams across our Farnham and Guildford sites and into the community. Your base will be the Hospice and the Beacon Centre with an expectation of travel between care settings. 

Salary £37,162 per annum

Hours available Full-time 37.5 hours

We are looking for an experienced registered nurse with current post registration experience in palliative care or relevant practice, to work as part of the Education team to help promote a culture of evidence based and skills based practice through practice development and continuous learning. PTHC has a positive approach to developing and sharing knowledge, so this role would ideally suit a clinician whose passion is to drive forward clinical practice contributing to quality improvement and clinical leadership. The role encompasses the assessment of clinical skills and competences across disciplines as well as the development and review of clinical policies and guidelines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, current clinical experience and being a team player are essential requirements, working with teams and managers to deliver high quality services for patients, carers and their families.
