Pick up a bargain at Phyllis Tuckwell’s next monthly plant sale, which will be held at the Hospice in Farnham on Sunday 7th May, from 10am to 1pm. The local hospice care charity will have hundreds of bargain-price plants on offer, so you’ll be able to get your garden ready for the warm summer ahead!
These Hospice plant sales are held on the first Sunday of the month, from March to July, and raise important money to help fund the care which Phyllis Tuckwell provides. Every day, Phyllis Tuckwell supports over 250 patients, relatives and carers who are living with an advanced or terminal illness, such as cancer. Its April plant sale raised £502.50, enough to pay for just over three days’ care from one of its Hospice Care at Home nurses, who visit patients who are spending their last days in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes.
“Our monthly plant sales are a great way to pick up some fantastic plants for your garden, patio or window box, and every penny raised will go towards helping fund our care,” said Ruth Masters, Head of Community, Corporate and Events Fundraising at Phyllis Tuckwell.
Phyllis Tuckwell volunteers will be on hand at the sales and can offer general advice. If you aren’t able to make it on the day though, don’t worry, as Phyllis Tuckwell has a range of plants available to buy throughout the week too. Simply pop along to the Hospice, browse through the plants just outside the main entrance, and pay at the reception desk.
If you have any plants which you would like to donate to be sold at the plant sales, please email [email protected] beforehand and a member of the team will get in touch with you.
