Phyllis Tuckwell's equality and diversity statement

Our statement

Phyllis Tuckwell is committed to providing accessible services and support, delivered in a way that respects the needs of each individual, regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.

The charity is committed to eliminating discrimination on any basis. We believe in fairness and equality, and value diversity in all our dealings, both as a provider of end of life care and also as an employer. We recognise, value and respect everyone as individuals with diverse opinions, cultures, lifestyles and circumstances, understanding that each of us are unique, recognising and appreciating our differences and our commonalities.

By demonstrating these beliefs, Phyllis Tuckwell ensures that it develops a workforce that is diverse, inclusive, non-discriminatory and able to deliver supportive, compassionate end of life care in a way that respects the needs of each individual and does not exclude anyone.

Gender pay gap

All organisations employing 250 or more employees are required to report annually on their gender pay gap.

The gender pay gap differs from equal pay:

  • Equal pay means that men and women in the same employment performing equal work must receive equal pay.
  • The gender pay gap is a measure of the difference between men's and women's average earnings over a defined period of time, regardless of role or seniority and is expressed as a percentage of men's earnings.

Please help us

All our services are free, but this is only possible due to the generosity of our amazing community. The Government/NHS only provide 25% of our costs, so we need to raise over £25,000 every day to provide our vital services.

Please donate what you can to help keep hospice care available to all those in our community who need us.
