Share 'n' Care Group
Share ‘n’ Care is a support group for carers. It is an opportunity to meet other carers and some members of staff in a warm, friendly and relaxed environment. We exchange experiences and talk about anything that might feel important at the time.
We aim to provide carers with the means of accessing important and useful information on a wide range of issues that affect them. These include management of symptoms, understanding medications and dealing with stress. Some meetings have a speaker giving information on aspects of patient and carer needs, while others are more informal.
The group meets once a month, usually on the second Thursday, and runs from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. A couple of meetings during the year are held in the evening from 6.30pm to 8.30pm to give carers who work a chance to attend.
