Living Well Workshops

What are Living Well Workshops?
They are one and a half hour to two hour sessions that cover different issues aiming to help patients and their loved ones cope with day to day life and managing their illness.

Who can attend?
People who are living with a progressive life-limiting illness and their carers (family member or friend), who would benefit from:
– Learning specific techniques to manage symptoms caused by their disease or treatment
– Group support of others in a similar situation

Do I have to come to all the workshops?
No, they are stand-alone workshops. You are welcome to attend some or all. Sandwiches, snacks and beverages are available to buy from the Hospice café at lunchtime.

When/where are the sessions held?
Morning workshops start at 10.30am and end around 12 noon. Afternoon sessions start at 1pm and end at 2.30pm. They run at the Hospice and the Beacon Centre throughout the year.

Do I need to bring or wear anything special?
We would advise that you wear loose, comfortable clothing and that you bring any medications that you may need to take during your visit.
