Following the restructure our services, this is an exciting time to join our clinical team at Phyllis Tuckwell – our services are developing to ensure increasing numbers of patients can access our care.
We have vacancies for four senior clinical roles and nurses at all levels.
For all the senior roles, the successful candidates will contribute to the strategic development of PTHC and its activities, helping to translate service strategy into effective operations and ensure that its services reflect, and are responsive to, current and future need.
In-Patient Manager £43,017 – 37.5 hours/wk
In conjunction with our Consultants in Palliative Medicine, to co-ordinate, develop and manage our In-Patient services, working closely with our Therapies, Patient & Family Services and Community teams.
To provide clinical leadership and support to the Hospice-based nursing team, ensuring evidence-based, quality, end of life care is delivered to patients, carers and relatives.
Community Managers £43,017 – 37.5 hours/wk
There are two vacancies for managers across the two geographical areas within our catchment area (Farnham and Guildford locations). In conjunction with our Consultants in Palliative Medicine and working closely with the clinical leads, to co-ordinate, develop and manage the community end of life care services, including our CNS, Medical, Therapies and Hospice Care at Home nursing teams. To build strong working relationships with external healthcare providers to increase awareness of the full range of PTHC’s services ensuring appropriate referrals from primary and secondary healthcare providers and to act as a resource to both internal and external colleagues.
To provide clinical leadership and support to the community team, ensuring evidence-based, quality, end of life care is delivered to patients, carers and relatives.
Practice Development Nurse £31,609 – 37.5 hours/wk
Support the Clinical Education Manager in the effective planning and delivery of the PTHC Clinical Education Strategy.
To promote, develop, lead and maintain high quality nursing and clinical care throughout our organisation, by monitoring the ongoing review of nursing practice through clinical audit, risk management, evidence-based practice, teaching and Continuous Professional Development.
Nurse Consultant (Non-Cancer Care) £45,000 – 37.5 hours/wk
In conjunction with our Consultants in Palliative Medicine and working in partnership with GPs and other healthcare experts, to provide, develop and promote expert care for patients with a non-cancer diagnosis. To provide substantial clinical leadership, innovation and autonomy that supports complex decision-making and expertise for non-cancer diagnosis patients with advanced disease.
Nurses £16,506 – £28,811 – Flexible hours
