Although we are physically based in Farnham, Surrey, we are the only adult hospice serving the population of West Surrey and North East Hampshire. This area includes the towns of Aldershot, Camberley, Cranleigh, Farnborough, Farnham, Fleet, Godalming, Guildford, Haslemere and Hindhead. There are 530,000 people in our catchment area; most of them live in the more densely populated region around Aldershot, Farnborough, Frimley and Camberley. Consequently most of our patients come from these towns.

We are one of the larger hospices in the south east with 18 beds and a growing community team. We are also one of the oldest - the first UK hospice, St Christopher's in London, was opened in 1967; Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice was opened 12 years later in 1979 and has been at the forefront of developments in palliative care ever since. Our neighbouring hospices are: St Michael's Hospice in Basingstoke, Woking Hospice and Princess Alice Hospice in Esher. We work closely with the Beacon Centre and St Luke’s Cancer Centre in Guildford. There are two children's hospices in our area that care for patients under the age of 18. They are: CHASEShootingStar near Guildford and Naomi House near Winchester.
