Conratulations to Dr Maggie Guy on being awarded MBE
Dr Maggie Guy has worked at the Phyllis Tuckwell in Farnham for twenty years and has been awarded an MBE.
As well as being an associate specialist she's also chairperson of charity Hospice Home Support.
Commenting on Dr Guy's achievement, Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice's Medical Director, Dr Cate Seton-Jones said, "We are all absolutely thrilled at Maggie's recognition in the Birthday Honours List. This is well deserved and reflects Maggie's tremendous commitment to patients and her dedication to improving end of life care to people in West Surrey and North East Hampshire.
"Maggie is a visionary Doctor who works tirelessly for patients and ensures Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice and HHS provide high quality and cost effective services. Maggie's dedication also extends to the essential task of helping to raise over £15,000 each and every day that the Hospice needs, demonstrated by her taking on challenges such as completing a sponsored climb of Ben Nevis in her own time.
"Maggie provides strong and powerful leadership with quiet efficiency, never seeking the limelight. Through her vision and commitment, thousands of patients have been able to spend their last few days, with their loved ones, in their own home."
